Hiring a lawyer abroad usually starts with guesswork
Is this person actually licensed?
Agents and consultants often present themselves as lawyers. Only an advocate registered with the Cyprus Bar Association can represent you in a Cyprus court.
What will it cost?
Fees are rarely published, so most people learn the price after the first call instead of before it.
Will they explain it to me?
Contracts, court letters and the land registry work in Greek. You need someone who explains them in a language you read.
LawCy answers the first question for you, shows prices where advocates publish them and lets you filter by language.
Why expats start their search here
A licence you can verify
Every profile is matched against the public Cyprus Bar Association register and the check repeats every night. The green badge cannot be bought.
Prices before the first call
Many advocates list a consultation fee on their profile, so you can compare before you write to anyone.
Your language, filtered
Search for advocates who speak English, Russian, Greek, Ukrainian or Hebrew, and read the whole site in your language.
Direct contact, no middleman
Your request goes straight to the advocates you pick, and they reply to you directly.
Not sure what is a normal fee? See indicative prices for common cases
Every licence here is checked against the official register.
You choose who to contact, and you contact them directly.

Questions expats ask
Short answers about how LawCy works. For your own case, ask an advocate.
Is LawCy free to use?
Yes. Searching, using the assistant and sending a request cost nothing and need no registration. You agree the fee for legal work directly with the advocate.
How do you check that an advocate is licensed?
Every profile is matched against the public register of the Cyprus Bar Association, and the check repeats every night. The profile shows the date of the last check. The badge cannot be bought.
Is LawCy a law firm? Does the assistant give legal advice?
No. LawCy is an information directory. The assistant tells you which area of law fits your situation, what documents to prepare and which advocates to contact. It does not assess your chances or tell you what to do.
Can I find a lawyer who speaks my language?
Yes. You can filter advocates by English, Russian, Greek, Ukrainian or Hebrew, and the whole site is available in these five languages.
How much does a consultation cost in Cyprus?
It depends on the case and the advocate. Many profiles show a consultation fee, and the prices page lists indicative ranges for common cases. The final fee is set by the advocate.
How many advocates receive my request?
One, if you write from an advocate profile, or up to five, if you send it after the assistant suggests a shortlist. Each of them replies to you directly.
Who sees what I write?
Your request goes only to the advocates you choose. The sources page explains what data we hold and why.
What does the Partner label mean?
Partner placement is paid and shown in a separate block. It never changes the licence check or the order of other results.
Which cities do you cover?
Advocates across Cyprus, including Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca, Paphos and Famagusta district.
