Please read these Terms carefully. Accessing and utilizing the LawCy platform (lawcy.site), its directory, legal guides, and AI assistant constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.

LawCy (lawcy.site) is strictly an independent technological information directory and intake triage platform. LawCy is NOT a law firm, advocate practice, or Law Practice LLC under the Advocates Law of the Republic of Cyprus (Cap. 2), and does not practice law.
LawCy does not provide direct legal services, does not represent individuals or entities before Cyprus courts or governmental authorities, and does not render formal legal opinions.
2. Absolute Non-Legal-Advice Disclaimer
All content published on LawCy — including practical guides, articles, fee benchmarks, and structured responses generated by the AI Assistant — is provided exclusively for general informational, educational, and orientation purposes.
No content on this platform constitutes formal legal advice or an authoritative call to action. Cyprus statutes and administrative practices evolve constantly; any legal decision requires individual assessment by a licensed Cyprus advocate.
3. No Advocate-Client Relationship
Browsing LawCy, submitting inquiry forms, or interacting with the AI Assistant does NOT create an advocate-client relationship (σχέση δικηγόρου-πελάτη) between you and LawCy or any listed practitioner. Legal professional privilege attaches only upon formal execution of an Engagement Letter and completion of statutory KYC/AML compliance directly with the respective advocate.
To the maximum extent permitted under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and European Union law, LawCy, its operators, contributors, and software engineers SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including without limitation:
- Real Estate & Title Deeds: Financial losses, title deed encumbrances, construction delays, transfer taxes, VAT assessments, or planning permit disputes.
- Immigration & Residency Statuses: Refusals, delays, or revocations of Cyprus residence permits, Pink Slips, Yellow Slips, Digital Nomad visas, or Category 6.2 Permanent Residency.
- Corporate & Tax Compliance: Tax Department penalties, corporate registry late filing fees, non-domicile disputes, or cross-border tax complications.
- Litigation & Statutory Limitation Periods: Missed statutory limitation periods, civil procedure deadlines, or adverse outcomes in Cyprus judicial proceedings.
- AI Algorithmic Inaccuracies: Errors, hallucinations, omissions, or outdated statutory figures in automated AI triage summaries.
All decisions regarding contracts, financial transfers, administrative filings, or legal claims are made entirely at the user's sole risk and discretion.
5. Independence of Registered Legal Practitioners
Practitioners and firms listed on LawCy operate as independent professionals regulated by the Cyprus Bar Association. LawCy is not their employer, principal, agent, or guarantor.
LawCy does not control fee arrangements, engagement terms, response times, or case outcomes, and is never a party to fee disputes or bilateral client-lawyer retainers.
6. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use
Original articles, software code, branding, and triage algorithms are the property of LawCy. Automated data scraping, bulk directory copying for commercial resale, and infrastructure abuse are strictly prohibited.
7. Governing Law & Exclusive Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising in connection with the LawCy platform shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The competent District Courts of Nicosia, Republic of Cyprus, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
